These five extraordinary women whose leadership, service and philanthropy have made a lasting impact on the lives of women and girls in Collier County have been named as The Women's Foundation of Collier County’s 2026 Women of Initiative honorees — Nena Beynon, Lisa Kahn-Allen, Claudine Leger-Wetzel, Sherie Marek and Julia Van Domelen.

Dr. Paula Schwerin was elected as president of the League of Women Voters of Collier County.
Sharitza López-Rodriguez was appointed to Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance’s Board of Directors.


Sue Ryan, co-founder of The Caregiver's Journey®, was honored with the Gold Stevie Award in the “Advice and How To” podcast category alongside her business partner Nancy Treaster.

Rylee Bright and Aelina West won the 2025 Artis—Naples button design contest, with Bright’s First Place artwork chosen as the organization’s official 2025–26 season button for visitors. West’s Honorable Mention design is set to be distributed at the museum’s 2026 Spring Community Day.
